Sorrosal Waterfall: Hidden gem in Ordesa & Monte Perdido National Park, no hiking involved

SNOW IS HERE! As we are preparing for wintry mountain outings, I can’t help but think of past excursions.

Here’s one that requires no gear and no special clothes… just motivation to be out in the cold for about 20 minutes.

If you’ve been in the Spanish Pyrenees or are planning a trip, you’ve undoubtedly heard of Ordesa & Monte Perdido National Park. The valley floor which sits below giant vertical walls, which flaunts all the orange, red and yellow hues in Autumn, gorgeous greens before and after Summer and white glittery peaks in the Winter. Before arriving to this magical meadow you pass through various mountain villages along the road. And hidden among these villages you can find some of the best food, best people, and secret, enchanted corners that will help your IG feed BLOW UP!

Take the Cascada de Sorrosal, for example. If you’re not familiar with the area you might just possibly blow right on through Broto and Oto without even knowing this amazing natural faucet exists.

The rock patterns are fascinating. There’s so much to look at. And it’s even more mind blowing in the winter. And you don’t even have to hike!!!

To the left (not pictured), there’s even a Via Ferrata for those of you looking for more adventure!!!

When they ask you about your trip to the Pyrenees, are you going to want to admit that you left this place out?! I don’t think so.

Adventure on, mountain goats!

Thanks to Sar for sharing some of her pictures because I lost mine all!
